"My son's favorite stuffed animal for a long time was a bird-like animal with a long beak, a tiny head, and a long, wobbly neck. The name of this bird was Asha. My son really loved him, and this stuffed animal accompanied him everywhere for a while."

This cuddly toy was my first inspiration for designing the Asha lamp, and when I learned that "Asha" means "hope" in Sanskrit, I decided that this name was a perfect fit for her."
