After graduating from the renowned La Cambre design school in Brussels, Belgian Nathalie Dewez quickly specialised in designing luminaires. A devotee of a reduced use of means, she creates luminaires with an astonishing charisma using few components.
The Car Light table lamp was created within the project ''Glass is tomorrow'' in July 2013 in Boda (Sweden), a European research programme on glass initiated by the Belgian research group Pro Materia. In collaboration with the Swedish company The Glass Factory, the scientists researched the topic of mixed media.
Nathalie Dewez mouth-blown glass into a cylindrical mould lined with a grid, creating bowls with the desired surface structure. Each lamp made in this way is unique and reflects the light motif on the table and walls.
