Fergus

by Constance Frapolli

Fergus refers to the name Fergusson, common in many parts of Scotland. The name Fergus in Gaelic means angry, but also bold and proud. The Fergusson clan contributed to the triumph of the tartan. The tartan is a colourful checked woollen cloth typical of the Celtic peoples. It consists of a pattern of intersecting horizontal and vertical lines in several colours. Tartan was originally only used for textiles, but nowadays the motif is used for many other materials. Scottish kilts are almost always made from a tartan fabric.
Plaid, hand-woven, 100 % wool. Fringes on the wide side and only in the extension of the lines of the pattern.
