Hémicycle
by Philippe Nigro
The Mobilier National has two objectives: the furnishing of public buildings and the representation of innovative French design. Pierre Paulin took part in this mission as early as 1971 with the Elysée and Pumpkin seating furniture. In 2020, Philippe Nigro succeeds him with Hémicycle by Ligne Roset.
The name is reminiscent of the plenary hall of the French National Assembly, which is also named Hémicycle, but was also chosen because of its geometric shape - the semicircle. It can be used for institutions and public places as well as for more traditional premises. Both in the centres of power and in the intimacy of a private home, it invites you to linger in a classic style.
