Safety risk and necessary retrofitting Wall lamp La Plic Ligne Roset warns against the use of the wall lamps La Plic, which were delivered until 05.10.2016, due to a safety risk.

Contrary to the prescribed double insulation for class II luminaires, the lampholder of the wall luminaires La Plic delivered until 05.10.2016 has only a single insulation despite the declaration of conformity of the Swiss supplier. In the event of a defect - for example, the disconnection of a cable from the terminal of the lampholder or damage to the insulating sheath of a cable inside the metal housing of the lampholder - this metal housing can be energised. Despite the built-in fuse, a risk of electric shock cannot be completely ruled out.

Customers who purchased their La Plic wall lights by 05.10.2016 are asked to disconnect them from the mains immediately and contact their Ligne Roset shop to have their lights retrofitted with a new socket including cable, switch and plug free of charge. The Ligne Roset retail partner will be happy to provide information about the conversion of the La Plic wall lights.
