Okura

by Eric Jourdan

Eric Jourdan grew up in an artistic milieu and was very influenced by his father, who was an architect and designer. He was not so much interested in school as he quickly turned towards design, started working for Cartier (designing watches) and then started his own business designing for art and furniture galleries.

When Eric Jourdan draws living and seating furniture, he is always influenced by architecture. He is convinced that there is neither a special furniture culture nor a technical science of design. He loves organic forms, flowing and curved lines are characteristic for him, when drawing his pen always stays on the paper.

Okura is an exemplary combination of clear design and exceptional comfort. It is an urban, international piece of seating furniture that works in a reduced environment, in a New York loft, a Berlin flat, or in a Haussmann ambience in Paris.
