Ruflette

A so-called ruflette (French) is a thick edging ribbon that is sewn lengthwise to the top of curtains to gather them and to attach the hanging hooks to them. In this pendant lamp by Marie Christine Dorner, a high edging band is wrapped around the lampshade. This allows the cotton chintz to be folded regularly all around. A classic technique for a charming, modern lamp. Fabric 100 % cotton, shade mounted on edging tape and like a curtain, can be removed for washing.
