A whole two years of development work were necessary to produce the mouth-blown T-vases by Marie Christine Dorner. Their original design requires a very special shape. It should be said in advance that the glassblower has to turn and swing his product at the other end of the glassmaker's pipe. The force of attraction thereby presses the glowing glass against the side walls of the mould.
For the T-vases, the glassblower blows from above into the mould standing on a platform, which is turned and swivelled at the same time. This process requires special dexterity and, above all, teamwork, as it has to be done quickly and hand in hand.
Once the vase has cooled in the Small Model, it is finished by hand, giving it its distinctive opaque character. Each vase is a signed unique specimen.
