Born in Russia in 1986, Oleg Pugachev studied product design at the Weissensee Academy of Art, in his hometown of Berlin. While working for international design and architecture firms, he pursues his own projects in parallel, focusing on furniture design.
He strives for a balance between function, technology and aesthetics, creating designs that are coherent and of unexpected simplicity. Oleg Pugachev advocates an iterative (repetitive) and reflective approach, while respecting the history of design. A constructivist designer.
Chair and bench made of natural rattan wicker. Rattan weave is a natural, flexible and lightweight material derived from palm trees. Tightly woven, the weave offers impressive strength.
